Plexiglass Drypoint

Today I assigned plexiglass drypoint to my Advanced Art class. This is a project that I taught for the first time this summer during Studio 13 Summer Intensive. It works just like metal plate drypoint, but is much cheaper, and the students can place a sketch or picture under the plate to guide their mark making. They are all very excited. I love how students reflect a teachers passions for certain ideas or processes.
This is the plate I did as example this summer. I also introduced chine colle to during Summer Intensive.
